Is it fire resistant?
Yes – Quickturf has been rigorously tested for fire retardants and will not set on fire. If Quickturf comes in to contact with extreme heat the material will simply melt and the damage will usually be confined to the exposed area.
Up to what weight will it take?
Quickturf is extremely robust so it can take a lot of weight including garden furniture, play equipment and even cars.
Pets
Unlike real turf, Quickturf is pet friendly and any mess can be easily discarded or washed away.
Does it hurt if you fall on it?
Quickturf is ideal for children to play on as it’s soft to the touch. Interlock also includes an impact absorbing layer.
What effect does the weather have on it?
None – the yarn is tested for UV stability under factory conditions. Quickturf is also fully porous so surface water will drain away.
Does Interlock come with straight edging strips?
Yes it does or the pieces can be cut to fit.
Is Interlock suitable for a children’s play surface?
Interlock has been tested to EN1177:1997. This European Standard specifies the requirements for surfacing to be used in children's playgrounds and the specific requirements relating to impact attenuation. It tests product to establish its critical fall height (the upper limit of its effectiveness in reducing head injury if children fall from playground equipment conforming to BS EN 1176). Interlock is safe for use under equipment where there is a maximum critical fall height of 1.4 metres.
